Branch Fun Day

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

We held one of our yearly Branch Fun Days on Sunday 17th May and it was a real hoot. After both teams took part in the hurdles, slalom, puppy milk race, send away’s, blind man’s bluff, retrieve the sausage (without eating it although some dogs had different ideas… Bear being the only one, Sara you really need to feed him poor thing…) it was so tight to call that we did some more just for fun!

Big Thanks to Rob for giving us a helping hand in the judging and adjudicating (although he does love it seeing us make fools of ourselves) and Dave and Kevin for being his glamorous assistants on the day. It went all so smoothly - just as expected! Even the rain couldn’t stop all involved in having a blast and lots of fun with their dogs. Then we all dried out and enjoyed a chat and lunch after with lots to eat and laugh about.

Big congratulations to both teams for a successful fun day.

First place went to the yellow team captained by Wendy & Luke, with Dawn & Zeus, Ann & Mitch (ably assisted on the side lines by Kevin and sausages), Joanna & Kora and Karol & D’for.

Second place went to the blue team captained by Gillian & Lola, with Lynne & Tiber, Sara & Bear, Julie & Indie and Joanne & Ozzie. Well Done to all and no one came last, Wow!

Lewis Sutcliffe

There was a special award given to Lewis Sutcliffe (seen right with Zeus) who was the official photographer on the day and also the film cameraman and assistant to everyone. His help is much appreciated not only at this Fun Day but Lewis can be seen helping out at most of the clubs events, Show Days and Fun Days so now his help has officially been reward. Thank you Lewis for your help and well done on some brilliant photographs. These can be seen on our website and on our Facebook page, where you can add your photos of any of our events or your dogs.

We are always in need of help at our events so if you’re taking part and showing your dog then bring the other half, parents, friends and other family members to come and give us and hand, it will be much appreciated and we can all have a fun time after with the planned events.
