Progress Days

Progress Days are held twice a year with tests to suit which ever level you have reached with your dog, trophies and diplomas are awarded to winning qualifiers in each class, as well as certificates to other qualifiers. Awards are presented at a social ‘get together’ on the evening of Progress Day, various other events are held throughout the year.

Temperament Test (before heel on the lead) Dog in ‘stand’, handler to stand by dog. Judge approach from the front, run hand gently down dog’s back, may talk quietly to dog. Resentment, cringing, growling penalised.

Heel off the lead (includes fast & slow pace, starting from the heel position. Left about turns can be used at normal & slow pace)

Send Away. Drop & Recall (On Judges command handler sets up dog, sends dog. After dropping dog, will call it to heel while walking where directed by judge. Simultaneous command and signal OK)
